Topic 2

Performance prediction and evaluation

Description

In recent years, a range of performance evaluation methodologies and tools has been developed for the purposes of evaluation, design, and model reduction of parallel and distributed systems and applications. The aim of topic 2, Performance Prediction and Evaluation is to bring together all system designers and researchers involved with qualitative and quantitative evaluation of complex distributed systems. Of particular interest is work bringing theory and practice together.

Focus

  • Performance evaluation of large scale systems,
  • Performance optimizations,
  • System measurement and monitoring,
  • Advanced simulation tools and techniques,
  • Hybrid models,
  • Verification and validation,
  • Scheduling and routing in distributed systems,
  • Memory analysis and modeling.
